Video Games Testers required for our client, a AAA developer with a strong portfolio of market leading games. Located on a modern purpose built facility, just outside Guildford town centre.

In addition to being a well-respected development studio within the industry, our client has the financial backing of Microsoft Games Studios.

You will work to find bugs within pre-released computer games and applications.

You will be a keen gamer, who is looking for their first job within the games industry. Although no previous professional experience is required. You will be a highly skilled console gamer, with experience on various platforms. Due to the nature of gamers development both evening and weekend work is required during periods of the year.

Easily accessible transport routes enable efficient access to the site.

Yeah... I know what you mean.

Well, what I think you mean is that you wish you were younger enough to not have any dependents so that your income could be lower.

It is a great position for somebody just coming out of school, or anybody just wanting a summer job before going to University though.

Maybe a role at id Software, currently recruiting for the team who will be responsible for "DOOM 4" [PS3, Xbox 360, PC], will be more like it?

You would have to work in Mesquite, Texas (located 10 minutes east of Dallas) though.

How I wish it was for everyone out on the internet. I'll love to do something like that, I mean everybody would like it if someone pays you for what you want to do.

For people that want to get a job as a game tester, you should know a few things.

1.ALOT of people want to do this job so you need to make yourself stand out.
2.You dont just play games. Alot of your job is playing 1 part of the game over and over and over agian to find bugs, then once the bug is found you need to right up a report of what the bug is and what you were doing when it occured. Detail is very key.
3.If you get the job and proform well you are very lucky as you have just gotten your foot into the world of the video game industry(one of the hardest to get into and be succesful)

Wow. I have heard there are jobs like these. But the only disadvantage of this job is when the game was relaesed, you will, definitely, not buy it since you have finished and plaed it many times and you get tired of playing with it all over again.

But i have a question. If the beta testers were able to report all glitches and bugs, how come there are still glitches on the game when it was relaesed?

Because there a million of glitchs and beta testers like myself are usualy only given a month or so to test, not enough time to find them all.
