Default Maintainence Work
Hi guys,
Have performed some maintainence work on the server just now. Hopefully the site will load up quicker and resolve better for most people. So far there have been some users which just havent been able to view the site or if they have its just too slow to use.

Im hoping the changes I made will solve the problems for everyone. If any of you experience some major problems with access to the site in the next 24 hours do let me know.

Well the site seems to be loading quite abit faster according to my observations and some tests I have run So im quite happy about that. Hopefully our viewership should go up now, as I suspect there were many viewers who simply gave up on a slow loading page or didnt even get it displayed

Exclamation We Got DDOS'd
Telomin, you jinxed the site !

Anyway just an update but the site suffered a DDOS attack. (Basically site got hacked) For those of you that dont know what DDOS stands for, it means a Distributed Denial Of Service Attack. It wasn't necessarily aimed at this site but the server on which this site is hosted. Basically loads of different computers on various networks bombarded (And I mean totally bombarded) the server with bogus requests. The server was blocked 24/7 hence no real requests could get in meaning ZERO access to this site and any others on my server.

We've added some fixes and hopefully things are ok now. Im just hoping things will stay like this. Hopefully we can avoid further attacks in the future but you never know

Anyway just wanted to let everyone know & thanks for being so patient and sorry for the 24 hours of downtime that we have suffered.

WOW! Now that sucks!! Sorry I haven't been around for awhile...i've been faced with a few issues that needed attention. Anyway glad to know things are going well withthe site. Btw, it does load faster .

Back again, and as a matter of fact, the site loads even faster...(or is it just me)...LOL!! Love the fact that we get new members...seemingly all the time. All we need is a little promo and we'll be all set.

Im glad the site is working faster for you Yuuup we definitely need some promotion which I have been looking very hard at but still havent come up with anything decisive

I have an idea...I definitely believe this idea will work. Get a myspace page. Make it a myspace gaming page. It's free. Then after you get one and do it up (I can hook it up for you)...then you do a search for the age market you think you'd wanna target. I've seen sims sites starting to crop up on myspace all the time. Some sims sites start with 1 friend, then within the nest week, they have 2-300 friends. It's all about promotion.

Ok i will look into setting that up although im not sure when that will be.. lol

What would i need on the site as a bear minimum ?? Just details about these forums or what ??
