I haven't got a Xbox 360 (yet)... [although with the Elite on the UK market tomorrow, I may be tempted!].

The official site for "Two Worlds" [ http://www.2-worlds.com ] states a UK release of 29 August 2007 (presumably for both PC & Xbox 360 versions).

Do you know if that is still the case?

I heard it was being released August 23, 2007. (which is today) over there. You should so get a 360, and the Elite is your best bet. ;P

Games are typically released on a Friday in the UK. Unfortunately my laptop is a "business" machine, rather than a "gaming" rig, so that's probably not going to run "2 Worlds". I had considered a '360, but couldn't really justify it as there's only "Gears of War" I would perhaps want to play.

Apart from "2 Worlds", what would you recommend on the Microsoft console(s)?

Okay, here are a few good games:

1) Halo 3 September 25,2007
- Dont know if you played the other two, but it is a must have, globally. In fact it is the most preordered game, ever.

2) Gears of War Out Now
- Also a must have, campaign is never boring, and the online multiplayer is awesome.

3) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare November 5, 2007
- Great war game that is being released this year. Maybe the best.

4) Banjo-Kazooie 3 TBA 2007
- Now if you had a N64 back then, you probably had BK. Good if you have kids, and its good to see an old face on a rather new console.

5) Gears of War 2 TBA 2008
- Hey, if you have the first, gotta have a second.

6) Bioshock Out Now
- I would recommend this game, to anyone, who loved action games.

7) Well that is all I can think of right now, but here is a full game list for the 360 over at GameSpot, you should have a look.

btw...Halo 3 is ranked number 2 on GameSpot. (and its not even released yet :P )

Doesnt look like my type of game .... Im waiting for Prototype for the 360.. have you heard of it.. Looks neat..
