Likewise I always leave mine plugged in. This does seem to only relate to the original xbox from what I can see though. The date the fire happened is unclear, someone says 2006, someone says 2004. Hopefully when they recalled the power supplies in 2005, they have learnt how to prevent it with regards to the 360, so hopefully we're safe. Perhaps that's why such a huge powerbrick lol.
