The "stop calling me Shirley" quote is from the movie "Airplane" (also starring Leslie Nielsen" [as Dr Rumack]) written (produced & directed) by the same team who wrote "Police Squad!" & then went on to the "Naked Gun" series (by way of "Top Secret" & "Hot Shots"); Jim Abrahams & David Zucker.
