I think you're gonna find a lot more people of the uncle age that play games now I know for sure I'm gonna always be more enthusiastic about games and stuff than my children... Which is kind of strange in some ways... and always gets my wife telling me to grow up!

I'm an affiliate at Pr*stige Gamers but thats about it. I've recently redone the site so lost all the users due to an accidental deleting of the database :P.

Wow that's a pretty costly mistake Sorry for your loss...

Actually even if you had a backup of the DB, forum communities can often be so fragile that even after restoring people often never come back after major incidents like that.

Good luck with starting it from scratch, I know it can't be that easy.

Yup... Very soon after I joined 1upGamers, I received an invitation from another member to join their forum too.

After a week or so, the database was deleted & we were all asked to re-join & re-submit our messages.

I re-joined but not many of the original members did.

I won't name & shame the site, but I agree, as I said above, retaining a fickle audience can be the most challenging aspect of maintaining any web presence.

I for one am a big user of epvpers, mainly because of my work with different private servers( i have done most of them, WoW, warhammer, aion, cabal, FF,ect.) My latest being with conquer online, also being the hardest as i couldnt get my hands on a bugless private server so i have had to code alot of the source by hand.
